Get your Google searches in SSL!

It has been some time since Google had made available to the world the SSL encryption in his search engine. The details can be found here: http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?answer=173733&&hl=en

So the problem is how can one use this with Google Chrome?

The answer: we create a new search!

We will do this by going in to option menu in to the Basic tab click the manage button.

In the next window click add and set the default parameters as in the screenshot. Under URL you must set this: https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEncoding}&q=%s

Now make this new search the default search. That’s it!

It is possible that in the current days Google will be launching another address for its https services. I will update the post when he will do that.
